MegCon is an invite-only gaming convention run and hosted by Megan Coppock over the course of a single weekend. The first ever MegCon will be run December 6-8, 2013 in Florence Townsip, NJ, beginning Friday evening and running until Saturday afternoon.
What kind of games will be run?
Games will be theater-style social Live Action Role Play (LARP) games, each with different rules and light game mechanics. Each game will run between three and four hours long, with only some requiring costuming.
Do I have to play in all of them?
No! Invited guests may pick and chose which of the games they wish to participate in - from one to all of them! Open spots will be offered to others once reservations have been received.
Are the games scheduled back to back?
At this time, they are not. MegCon 2013 will have four games, giving ample time in between to return home, get food, and change into other costumes.
Can I volunter to help instead of play?
Of course! Maybe you're not a fan of a particular genre, but your ride is. Maybe you really enjoy cooking. Maybe you do not want to play any games at all, but you want to still attend. Sign up to volunteer and we'll find something for you to do!
What if the game I want to play in is already full?
If the game you want to play in is already full, you can join the waiting list. Sometimes people do drop out because of real life comitments or illness. Alternates will be contacted as soon as a spot opens up.
